Due to the scope of changes required to enable a Silverlight client, the 2.3 effort (current trunk) has been renamed to 3.0. We have updated the roadmap to reflect these changes.
In addition, 2.2 has been deployed to its first beta site today. Initial reports are a subjective 50% performance improvement for processing-intensive usage.
As for 3.0 development, the current branch is functional (after an extended period of broken builds) and is running entirely over WCF, including the listener and native CLI that were introduced in 2.2.
